2009 KTM 690 Enduro R

Being offered for sale is a 2009 KTM 690 Enduro R with 9200 miles and a clean and clear title. The bike has $1000's in desirable upgrades some of which are rare and hard to find. The bike has been well setup by the previous owners for long distance enduro riding and has all of the features that are ubiquitous with hard core rally raid style adventure bikes these days including the MASSIVE Safari brand auxiliary fuel tank, Tusk quick release pannier racks, seat concepts touring seat, tusk tail toolbag, Cyclops LED baja style headlight with Halo ring and protective cage, FMF Q4 exhaust, Rekluse clutch, handguards, Double take enduro mirrors with ram mounts, brand new Dunlop D606 tires with less than 100 miles, and upgraded orange EK X-Ring chain and billet foot pegs. This is a very well sorted bike that could handle some serious cross country tough tracks as the 690 Enduro R has always had a reputation for being one of the most hardcore, stripped down, big bore dual sport enduro bikes that would still just barely slot into the adventure bike category. These were truly Paris Dakar style rally bikes with just enough DOT required equipment to keep them legal for sale as a road legal motorcycle. When riding this back to back with anything the Japanese had to offer in the big thumper 650 range there is literally no comparison. Even when ridden through some tough double track or moderate single track even the best ADV bikes on the market don't stand a chance when the going gets tough as this was basically a race bike with lights. With a trellis frame that is just enough to hold together the underseat gas tank, motor, and air box, as well as some other necessary ancilliary components and being scantily clad with bikini like body panels just covering enough to make out this is a complete motorcycle, you get a bike that is ultra light weight and coming in with power numbers close to double the competition at close to 185lbs less than a KLR 650. That is mind numbing figures knowing you can now get all of that Austrian performance and build quality at a fraction of the price of a new one and at a price only a couple thousand more than a comparable KLR or DR 650. Other than some initial fueling issues these bikes have a solid reputation for being a pretty bulletproof motor with many reaching the 30-50k mile range without a rebuild with regular oil changes. We have the original KTM binder with all the original manuals for the bike and even the coveted KTM orange pen.
